On September 10, 2008, the proton beams were successfully circulated in the main ring of the Large Hadron Collider, at CERN, for the first time, but 9 days later operations were halted due to a serious fault. The consequences: unknown at the time. The goal of these experiments was to smash particles together to unleash discoveries that can transform our world. Ten years later a group of six strangers is randomly put together in a hotel near CERN. Their goal: use their individual skills to save the human race from the extermination.
Mankind is on the verge of extinction and the world faces its darkest hour. Peter, Alisha, Carlos, Fiona, Luke and Lucia awake, in an abandoned hotel in 2018, close to what used to be a Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Unaware of time and space, the six survivors, driven by Peter, a young genius in quantum physics, work to uncover the true story of the LHC experiments and what triggered the apocalypse, as they try to desperately reverse the wormhole it created before all is lost…
But each of them has their own reasons to return, secrets to hide and fears to face. The world outside is destroyed and The Unknown creatures stalk the shadows waiting for nightfall when they can claim new victims. Searching the hotel they learn of the horrors that transpired. Peter reveals his theory of how they got there. The Large Hadron Collider experiments caused lightning strikes that were found to be wormholes in the space-time continuum. Somehow they were all transported through one to the exact same time and place.
In a race against time, these 6 people will need to overcome their own agendas, their rivalry and work together to be able to initiate the LHC, activate the wormhole and return to present time with the all the information possible so scientists and mankind can prevent the Armageddon.
